He is survived by: his wife Porfiria Cruz Rivera; his children, Maris Kavanaugh (Kevin), Marcie McBride (Fred Powell) and Mario Francisco Rivera, III; his siblings, Richard Rivera, William Rivera, Joseph Rivera, John Rivera, Ramona Thigpen and Marion Fritizus; his grandchildren, Jeshua, Justin, Tasheanna, Julian (Kruz) and Isabella; and also, Katie, Kevin, Kyla, Kendall and Thomas.
His family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his honor to Holy Family Catholic Church.
