He is survived by: his wife Bertie Carter Boykin; his sons, Michael Boykin and Randy Boykin (Charlotte); and his grandchildren, Ryan Boykin, Bryan Boykin, Richard Boykin, Brandi Steel, Brittany Boykin, Shelby Boykin and Jamie Boykin. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
