He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Horace Cox and Floretta Cox; his wife Rosina Lou; his children, Lou Ann and Roger (Carol); his granddaughter Rosina Preston (Tim); and his great grandchild Abigail. He was also cherished by three sisters, 10 nieces and 11 nephews.
