He was predeceased by: his father Sam Capitano; his stepmother Sylvia Capitano; his mother Elizebeth Fowler; and his brothers, Peter Capitano and Ricky Fowler.

He is survived by: his children, Sammy Jr., Joshua, Marissa and Cheresa Capitano; and his brothers, John, Michael and David Capitano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
