She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Hallen and Bernard Nixon; and her husband Luther Castro. She is survived by: her siblings, Herbert Hallen (Linda), Sylvia West and Margie DeNome; her children, Vicki Shea of Riverview, Brenda Eastep of Ruskin, Bruce Nixon of Cincinnati, OH. and Barry Nixon of Lexington, KY.; her grandchildren, Daniel Shea, Kevin Shea and Kate Eastep Chavez; and her great grandchildren, Liam Chavez and Ronan Shea.

In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to Limona Village Chapel, Brandon, FL., Alzheimer's Association, or Lifepath Hospice, Sun City Center, FL.
