We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2024, at the age of 87, Miriam Ruth Speakman of Brandon, Florida, born in Chestertown, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Albright Post and Raymond Albright. She is survived by: her husband Dr. E. Wayne Speakman; her children, Art (Janice), Miriam, Branson (Jessie) and Marla (Dennis Galindez); her grandchildren, Bradley, Raymond, Benjamin, Madison and Caden; her great grandchildren, Sarai, Caleb and Elijah; and her sister Dorcas Bailey.

Also, in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The United Methodists' Children's Home at: https://www.charitynavigator.org. in honor of Ruth's lifelong commitment to helping others.
