He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. and Abbie Inez Turney, Sr. (Shaw); his wife Nancy; his siblings, Wallace Turney, Vivian Levy, Gloria E. Pelham, Phyllis E. Turney, Sylvia F. Pellum and Eleanor F. Brown; his children, Yvonne B. Powell (Sandy Fowler) and David Christianson; and his grandson Curtis Powell.
He is survived by: his brother Alan E. Turney (Faye); his siblings-in-law, Jean Turney and Leroy Pellum; his daughter Nita Dollar; and his grandchildren, Deborah L. Spinka, Catherine Allen, Leila Johnson, Connie Walker, Wanda Durbin, Lee Dollar, David Dollar, Penny Dollar, Ruthe and David Folsom. He is also survived by caregiver, several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
