With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irvin Johnson of Brandon, Florida, born in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, who passed away on December 29, 2021 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude. He is survived by: his children, James, Neil Johnson, Sharon Denton and Joann Wyatt. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

“I am so sorry to see this obituary for Mr. Johnson. I respected him and had the highest regard for him. I wish I would have found this earlier and would have been given the opportunity to pay him his respects. Mr. Johnson paid it forward in my life. I wish the entire family my condolences. I was so amazed when i met with him several years ago and he showed me pictures of how he would go to the docks and preach the gospel to the sailors. He lived a life of integrity!”
