“My deepest sympathies to Howard's family. He and his late brother Paul Fawley were wonderful family history researchers. Not content with merely collecting facts and dates, they encouraged distant cousins to know one another and have good family relationships. They sponsored Fawley reunions in several states, inviting all with Fawley connections to attend. I think they attended almost all (if not all) of our 30 annual Brocks Gap Heritage Day in Rockingham County, VA. He'll be greatly missed.”
