He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmuth Arens and Magdalena Wiese; and his brother Georg Arens. He is survived by: his wife Maria Eugenia Courbis; his sister Johanna Arens of Santiago, Chile; his children, Karin Arens (James Evans) of Bonaire, Georgia, Helmuth Arens (Kerleen Lopez) and Heidi Duran of Brandon, Florida; and his grandchildren, Johann Santiago (Mariah Andersen) of Riverview, Juan Esteban Santiago of Brandon, Alejandra Evans of Bonaire, Helmut A. Arens of Riverview, Karin Santiago of Seffner, Paul Evans of Warner Robins, Raphael Evans of Warner Robins, Frantz Arens of Riverview, Nicholas Arens of Riverview and Marcelo Duran of Seffner, Florida. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; twenty nieces and nephews.
