Gene Layton Obituary
In loving memory of Gene Layton (Brandon, Florida), born in Danville, Illinois, who departed this world on January 5, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Layton and Alma Layton; his former wife Norma; and his son-in-law Kurt Babcock. He is survived by: his wife Patsy; his sister Kelly Elkins (Steve); his daughters, Kimberly Huey (Paul) and Sharon Hopson (Coy); and his grandchildren, Charlie Babcock, Lauren Shore (Dustin), Summer Joy Kennedy (Wes) and Trenna Babcock.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Brandon (216 N Parsons Ave, Brandon, FL 33510). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
