It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Arthur Payton of Brandon, Florida, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John William Payton; and his brother Joseph Payton. He is survived by: his spouse Lang Xuan Payton; his stepdaughters, Lan Emery Abreu (Wilbert) of Tampa, FL and Lisa Emery of Chattanooga, TN; his grandchildren, Deion Levins of Clearwater, FL, Kenli Shaw of Chattanooga, TN, Tyler Shaw of Wesley Chapel, FL and Lia Abreu of Tampa, FL; his great grandchild Marquise Brown of Clearwater, FL; and his siblings, Norma, Marilyn Corley of Louisville, KY and Roger Payton (Judy) of Harrodsburg, KY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
