He was predeceased by: his parents, Rush Pierce and Lucy Pierce (Wood); his siblings, Phyllis (Lyle Sherwood), Geraldine (Donald Hunsinger), Beverly (Gene Allis), Dennis and Rush, Jr.; his son Daniel Pierce; his nephew Jeffrey Hunsinger; and also Susan.
He is survived by: his children, Alan Pierce, Stacey Pierce Burns (Kevin) and Sharon Gallo; his grandchildren, Molly, Lindsay Pierce, Kailyn and Zachary Burns; his siblings, James Pierce (Margaret), Diane Szlucha (Terry) and Marcia Root; and his siblings-in-law, Coral Pierce, Valerie Pierce, Ellen Hudson, Laura Harder (Tom Matthews) and Gerald King (LaRea).
