He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Marie; and his son Christopher. He is survived by: his children, Betty, Héctor Roman, Bernice, Justino Colón and Daniel Otero (Valerie Heatherly); and his grandchildren, Héctor Jr. (Michelle), Christopher, Becky, Elysa, Rosa and Miriam.

In lieu of flowers, you may make a tribute donation in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
