He was predeceased by: his siblings, Wilburn Fuqua, Margaret Deason and Virginia Cambron. He is survived by: his wife Ethelyn Fuqua; and his daughters, Karen Kimbro (Larry) and Susan Durham (David). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 nephews and 2 nieces.
