She was predeceased by: her grandson Zach McCarthy. She is survived by: her husband Bill McCarthy; her sons, Doug McCarthy (Jean) and Greg McCarthy; her brother Jim Smeenge; and her grandchildren, Ben and Grace.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hand Bells Group at First Presbyterian Church of Lakeland or to the Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine.
