She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel G. Strange, and Alberta Strange, Sr. (Carmichael); her husband Guy W. "Buddy" Howell, Jr.; and her brother Sammy Strange. She is survived by: her children, Ann Carr, Janet Mathers (Wayne), Sherry Wetherington (Buddy), Edward Howell (Martha) and Alan Howell (Teri). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
