It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sam Julius Wiggins Jr. of Bradenton, Florida, born in Monticello, Florida, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Wiggins Sr. and Marie Simmons; and his brothers, Michael Wiggins, Bill Simmons, Freddie Simmons (Faye Simmons-Smith), Earnest Simmons and Oscar Simmons Jr. (Yvonne Simmons).

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Ilena and Hezekiah Archie; his wife Valerie Wiggins; his children, Marie Wiggins (late John Ford), Samantha Wiggins, Rhonda Wiggins, Theresa Lockhart (Denver Lockhart), Patricia Wiggins, Tammy Wiggins, LaRhonda Olgesby, LaJhonda Olgesby, Troy Archie (Rebekah Dorman), Denard Richardson (Kearstin Richardson), Stephen Manson (Shavonne Manson) and William Tucker; his siblings, Rosalee Porter (Jimmy Porter), Lula Mae Simmons, Ollie Mae Simmons (late David Fuller), Annie Mae Wiggins, Karen Wiggins, Virginia Wiggins, Jeanette Wiggins, Robert Simmons, Frankie Wiggins and Junius Wiggins; his brothers-in-law, Ervin Richardson (Belinda Richardson) and Johnny Richardson (Betty Richardson); and his nieces, Leisa Jones (Carmen Smith) and Twanita Augustine (Jason Augustine). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
