He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray Bell, Sr. and Catherine Martha Emmert; his wife Shirley Lawrence; his son Larry; and his siblings, John, Herman, William Bell and MaryJane Timberman.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mildred Dierdorf and Warren Bell (Sandy); his daughters, LuAnn Rohde (Jeff) and Lori Hornick (Scot); his grandchildren, Robert Hornick (Lindsay Ellch), Max Hornick (Patrick Blasco) and Kali Hornick; and his great grandchildren, Theodore and Willow.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Missions at Trinity United Methodist Church.
