He was predeceased by: his wife Shan; and his daughter Jayne Melton. He is survived by: his son Mark Melton (Lori) of Bradenton; his grandchildren, Jessica L. Melton of Arcadia, FL, Captain Kaci Fullerton (US Army), Springs of Colorado and Matthew R. Melton of Bradenton; his nephews, Paul Elmore (Boni) of St. Petersburg, FL and John Elmore (Jan Miller) of Crystal River, FL.; and his former wife Mary Shannon Elmore.
