Hazel left this world on December 15, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Tolliver MacDonald "Don" Burnett; and her grandchildren, Nikolas Reek and Robert E. Lee II. She is survived by: her daughters, Joy McDowell (Terry), Nancy Vollick, Hazel "Deanie" Turlington (Jason), Donna Burnett and Lori Lee Reek (Todd); and her grandchildren, Paul McDowell, Kandiss Burnett Alvarino (Robby), Michelle Marquess (Robbie), April Lee Ashby (Dennis), Joshua McDowell (Andrea), Kristin Ackles (Robby), Cecelia Turlington (Mike), Sarah Turlington (Andrew), Byron Vollick (Lexi), Ashlee Vollick, Spencer Reek (Bianca), Jerome Reek (Amanda) and Samantha Reek. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shannon Funeral Homes (1015 14th St W, Bradenton, FL 34205). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the West Bradenton Baptist Church (1305 43rd St W, Bradenton, FL 34209).
