He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Gainey and Lila Gainey; his wife Ester Janelle Gainey; and his daughter Barbara Gainey. He is survived by: his children, Stevie Gainey, Larry Gainey and Valarie Gainey of Bradenton, Florida.; and his siblings, Don Gainey, Ricky Gainey (Pat) and Diane Snyder (Sheri Summerall).
