It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Lee Thomas Sr. of Bradenton, Florida, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Thomas and Naomi Thomas; his brothers, Charles Spencer Sr. and Frank "El" Thomas; and his son Eddie Lee Thomas Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Thomas; his daughter Nakesha Thomas; his grandchildren, Dwayne Blue (Ann), Kelvet Fuller (Alexandria), Keondra Thomas (Amos Smith), Desmond Blue, Thomas Kelly, Dakeveya Thomas and Marquise Murray (Takisha); and his siblings, Bernard Newson, Leonard Newson, Irvin Newson and Willa May Thomas. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, great grandchildren and friends.
