He was predeceased by: his parents, Coolidge J. Smith and Mary Cecelia Smith (Holmes); and his sister Linda Coker (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn McLeod Smith (Petro); his children, Barry Lewis Smith, Jr. (Kathryn) of Bradenton and Amy Lynn Niedzwick (Jon); his sister Barbara Keegan (Daniel) of Bradenton; and his stepson Richard McLeod (Shirley) of Sarasota. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
