He was predeceased by: his parents, Lottie Mae Weakley and Walter Weakley; and his brothers, Joseph Weakley, Herbert Weakley and Henry Weakley.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Weakley; his children, Andrew P Weakley (Debbie), Tamera Moran (Wally), Teresa Adkins and Walter B Weakley (Kara); his stepchildren, Kathy Nalley (John) and Billy Maxwell; and his sisters, Frances Soutter, Mae Nicholson and Elizabeth Soutter.
