He is survived by: his children, Richard Porcher Horne, Jr. (Carrie) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Sandra Horne Cheves (Hank) of Mount Pleasant, SC and Catherine Anne Horne (Joe Hicks) of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Middleton Horne Cheves, Charles Pinckney Cheves, Langdon Hall Cheves, Olivia Porcher Horne, SarahAnne Sullivan Horne and Laura Elizabeth Horne.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel (1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Seacoast Church (750 Long Point Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464). A burial will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens (1308 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464).
Flowers can be delivered to Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel, and charitable donations may be made to Seacoast Church, Boca Raton Community Church, and the SC Junior Golf Association.
