He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cassidy and Helen Cassidy (Reilly); his daughter Jennifer Cassidy; and his brother Peter Cassidy. He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Walsh); his sons, Brian and Patrick; his daughter-in-law Deanna; his grandchildren, Christopher Coughlin, Jacqueline and Jillian Cassidy; and his siblings, Margaret Semrad, John and Thomas Cassidy. He is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the George's. Hassler Funeral Home (980 Bennetts Mills Rd, Jackson Township, NJ 08527). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
