In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Elsie Helen leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Elsie Helen may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Gismondi; her parents, Joseph DiCicco and Anna DiCicco; her daughter Joan Gismondi; and her granddaughter Melissa.
She is survived by: her family, Ann Ferry (LeRoy), Regina Markase (Jack) and Julie Pedroza (Joseph). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home (3227 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL 60438). A prayer was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (801 Michigan City Rd, Calumet City, IL 60409).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elsie's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
