David Allen Bentz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Allen Bentz of Boynton Beach, Florida, born in Macon, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Bentz and Mary Bentz (Mears); and his sister Dorothy Lea. He is survived by: his children, Michael Bentz of Creve Coeur, MO and Susan Mayes (Bill) of Lentner, MO; his grandchildren, JonMichael Bentz (Megan), Erin Roberts (Michael) and Ryan Mayes of Columbia, MO; his niece Cheryl Spotts (Glen); and his nephew Chuck Lea (Kathy). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home (301 N Rubey St, Macon, MO 63552). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials to the Shiloh Christian Children's Ranch or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
