It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lou Etta Cole of Bowling Green, Florida, born in Jay, Florida, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Strickland of Washington and Mattie Odessa Strickland (Jordan); her husband Jimmie Clennon Cole; and her siblings, Charles Strickland, Jay W. Strickland, Eunice Holley and Anne Turgeau.
She is survived by: her children, Timothy Cole of Zolfo Springs, Florida, Theresa Dempsey of Henagar and Terri Brown (Reginald) of Bowling Green, Florida; her sisters, Betty DeLozier of Plant City and Mary J. Todd of Plant City, Florida; and her grandchildren, Clennon, Kayle, Mariannette, Kelly, Kelsey, Luke, Jimmy, Victoria, Michael, Bobby Resha, Reggie Allen and Stormy. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
