He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Louise Guthrie; and his siblings, Warren "Dink" Guthrie, Keith "Putch" Guthrie, Paul "Buddy" Guthrie, Delma and Campbell (Mary Sue "Duke" Hunter).
He is survived by: his sons, George Allen Guthrie and Doyle (Joyce Guthrie); his brother Dewey "Audie" Guthrie; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Randy Rhymes, Joy and John Allen Eubanks; and his great grandchildren, Trenton Rhymes, Trevor Rhymes, Tristan Rhymes, Alison Eubanks and Jenna Eubanks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
