It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Largus R. Brauer of Bonita Springs, Florida, born in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Brauer and Emma Hornbeck Brauer; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Brauer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Brauer (Kesterson); his daughters, Regina See (Albert) of Milan, Sheila Richards (Francis) of Estero and Patricia Reed (Randall) of Heath, Ohio; his siblings, Thomas Brauer and Rosanna Augustine (John) of Fleming, Ohio; his grandchildren, Eric See (Mary Jean), Gregory See (Sarah), Abigail Nishiguchi (Daniel), Anthony Richards (Lisa), Douglas Reed (Courtney) and Randi Reed; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Richards, Cecilia Richards, Alexandra See, Cooper See, Josephine See, Vivienne See and Brisco Reed. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Largus in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Belpre Historical Society.
