He was predeceased by: his father Luke M. McDonnell; his brother James McDonnell; and his wife Rita McDonnell (Stavenski). He is survived by: his children, John McDonnell (Anne) of Conshohocken, PA, Judy Olcese (Tony Cox) of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Karen McDonnell (Greg Kulak) of Plymouth Meeting, PA; his siblings, Jean Boylan of Warrington, PA and Joseph McDonnell (Mildred) of Doylestown, PA.; and his grandchildren, Jason Olcese, Jessica McGuckin, Joseph Olcese, Kalyn Murphy, Kevin Kulak, John McDonnell, III and Ryan McDonnell. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
