She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Uldene Capuciati and Dominick Capuciati; her siblings, Peter, Nancy, Rose Marie and Shirley; her husband Jack Casey; her children, Sean Casey (Laura), Kevin Casey (Meghan), Christine McCarthy (Patrick) and Sharon Casey (Todd Ertel); and her grandchildren, John, Kelly, Morgan, Jackson and McKenna.
In a relatively progressive decision for the time, Joan returned to NYC upon graduating, taking a job at the Ford Foundation.
