He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Claeys and Bernice Claeys (Madden); his son Mark Claeys; and his brother-in-law Donald Hovey. He is survived by: his siblings, Judy Hovey and Joseph Claeys; his wife Dolores Claeys (Konrad); his sons, Eagle Scouts, Stephen (Tara) and John (Wendy); and his grandchildren, Brian and Erin. He is also survived by step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
