He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Miller Jernigan and Venera Pate Jernigan; and his wife Marcia June French Jernigan. He is survived by: his children, Bobby Jernigan (Tiffany), Jamie Jernigan (Rehana) and Paula Thompson (Scott); his grandchildren, Balin, Alia, Harleigh, Hemingway, Yasmine, Qasim, Siobhan, Xander and Kaitlin; and his siblings, Michael Jernigan, Larry Jernigan (Linda) and Jerrie Casey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
