He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wiley and Annie Elizabeth McDuffie Owens; his wife Doris Bee Jones Owens; his sons, Bruce Presley Owens, Grady Lamar Owens and Terry Chris Owens; his daughter-in-law Janet Bush Owens; and his granddaughter Caitlyn Lynn Porter.
He is survived by: his children, Mashelle Owens, Mike Owens, Belinda McMath (Tripp), Anda Justice (Victor) and Kevin Owens; and his brothers, Howard Owens (Shirley) and Jimmy Owens (Susan). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.
