He was predeceased by: his father Andrew Carl Tidwell; his son B. Phillip Tidwell; and his siblings, Juanita Tidwell, Gertrude Cooper Salgado, Katherine Reeves, Retha Mae Upton Muggridge, W. D. Tidwell and James Tidwell.
He is survived by: his wife June Warner Tidwell; his children, Jacklen Schroeter (David), Donna Adcock and Calvin Tidwell; his grandchildren, Bryan Tidwell (Beth), Christina Schroeter (Damien Joly), Michael Schroeter (Sabrina), Brittany Stickle (Ian Lundstrom) and Nicholas Stickle; his great grandchildren, Victoria Tidwell, Sophia Schroeter, Ava Schroeter, Evalyn Sechrest and Enzo Joly; and his sisters, Frances Vinson, Rozell Biles, Runelle Flowers and Shirley Wilson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
