Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Benjamin Franklin King of Bonifay, Florida, who passed away at the age of 82, on October 30, 2024. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Farrow King and Ben King, Sr.; and his sisters, Audrey King Young and Joann R. King Dingle. He is survived by: his daughters, Glenyatte King-Trice of Lexington, KY and Kayatta King of Brunswick, GA; his adoptive daughter Davonia McMiller; his grandchildren, Marquisha Grovner of Indianapolis, IN., Shileal Grovner of Charolette, NC, Shiloh Grovner, Jaelyn Walker, Abiona Grady, Aniyaha Grady, Dorain McMiller and Taylor Jackson; his sister Rosalie McClain; and his nieces and nephews, Debbie Young (Chris), Regina D. Wicks of New Haven, CT, Larry Young (Lesche) and Kyle (Tanya). He is also survived by nine great-nieces & nephews, seven great great nieces & nephews, with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Mt Zion Baptist Church (204 S State St, Bonifay, FL 32425).
After leaving the formal classroom, and returning to Bonifay Fla, Ben continued his commitment to nurturing young minds by donating to several scholarships funds and consistently promoting higher education.
