He is survived by: his wife Sally Braund of Bokeelia; his mother Virginia Patterson of Cleveland, OH; his children, Lesalyn Messer of Matlacha, FL and Whitney Messer of San Antonio, TX; his siblings, William Messer of Cleveland, OH, Jaker Messer of Cleveland, OH and Francis Castro of Bronx, NY; his grandchildren, Gracie, Abigail, Shyanne, Bridgett, Amelie and Alissa; and his nieces and nephews, Merlin and Jenny.
