He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Angelo DeSantis and Assunta DeSantis; his wife Susan Pelosi; and his children, Richard (Liesbeth), Nancy, Thomas (Amy), Julie (James), Geoffrey (Moran) and Rachel (Hakim). He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
