She is survived by: her husband Gerald Vardzel; her children, Jerry Vardzel, Brian Vardzel and Debra Lage; her grandchildren, Tyler Lage, Evan Vardzel, Justin Vardzel, Brooke Vardzel, Jane Vardzel, Michael Vardzel, Kathryn Vardzel, John Vardzel and Peter Vardzel; and her siblings, Chucky Spontak and Larry Spontak.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's name may be made to Children's Harbor, a not-for-profit organization that provides residential care for at-risk teenagers (ages 13-17) in foster care who have endured egregious trauma.
