He was predeceased by: his parents, Hymie Shutan and Anna Shutan. He is survived by: his wife Irma; his children, Suzan Shutan (Mario Almedia) of Hamden, Caron Shutan (Jay Yospe) of Boca Raton and Bruce Shutan (Gina Shutan) of Portland, Oregon; his grandchildren, Aaron Ziff (Shana Ziff) of Cleveland, Chava Ziff (Zach Halfon) of Denver, Ami Ziff (Becky Ziff) of Scarsdale, Elan Ziff (Ashley Ziff) of Charlotte, Liam and Scarlet Shutan of Portland, Oregon; and his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Yospe (Andrea Yospe) of Boynton Beach, Kimberly, Jared Fischer of Boca Raton, Florida, Sienna Bruinsma of Providence and Racquel Wright of Portland, Oregon. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
