She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Calhoon and Helen Calhoon; her brother Richard Calhoon; her husband Donald Hirner; and her friend Jack Dignum.
She is survived by: her children, Clay Hirner (Mallory) of Lenexa, KS, Dean Hirner (Joel Bailey) of Rancho Mirage, CA and Becky Hirner of Lee's Summit, MO; her grandchildren, Abby Dogruoz (Direnc) of London, England and Dan Hirner (Jubilee) of Olathe, KS; her great grandchildren, Kaya, Shenel, Zeki and Dawyson; and her siblings, Ada Ruth Heady (Van) of Smithville, MO and Marvin Calhoon (Claudene) of Hannibal, MO. She is also survived by three children, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kansas City Hospice House in Carolyn's honor.
