She was predeceased by: her husband Angus Kemp Gholson, Jr.; her son Angus "Kemp" Gholson, III; her parents, Bennett Thomas Eubanks and Eloise Brantley Eubanks; and her siblings, Norma Elaine Yon and Bennett Thomas Eubanks, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Laura Gholson Smith (Jerry) of Alachua, Florida; her granddaughters, May McDonald Smith Weber (Tim) of Tampa, Tara Antoinette Gholson Kirk (Kip) of Warner Robins, Marjorie Eloise Smith Drummond (Gray) of Chiefland and Laura Elizabeth Gholson Croley (Will) of Tallahassee, Florida; her great grandchildren, Elise Claire Weber, Andrew Smith Weber, Austin Tyler Kirk (Amiya), Elizabeth Ann Kirk, William Alexander Kirk, Kay Eloise Drummond, Kate Graham Drummond, Wilson Mahaffey Croley and Caroline Elizabeth Croley; her grandchildren, Calloway, Kanaan and Kylan Kirk; and her sister Betty Ann Cayson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (18 W Marion St, Chattahoochee, FL 32324). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Eloise Gholson to the First United Methodist Church of Chattahoochee, 18 W. Marion Street, Chattahoochee, FL 32324; and the Angus Gholson Nature Park through the Magnolia Chapter Florida Native Plant Society, P.O. Box 3434, Tallahassee, FL 32315.
