He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smee and Bridget Smee (Flaherty); and his niece Claire Smee. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smee of Beverly Hills, FL; his son James P Smee, III (Amanda) of Shiloh, IL; his brother Timothy Smee (Joanne) of Greenwich, CT; his nieces, Elisabeth Harrington (Peter) and Caroline Smee; his daughter Emma; and his great-nephew Charlie.
