He was predeceased by: his parents, Magnus Burfeindt and Gesine Burfeindt. He is survived by: his wife Janet Burfeindt of Beverly Hills, FL; his sons, Edward J. Burfeindt (Jolene) of Homosassa, FL and Craig Burfeindt (Lisa) of Fanwood, NJ; his brothers, John Burfeindt (Marge) and Robert Burfeindt (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Chloe Burfeindt of Fanwood, NJ, Taylor Thompson of Conway, AR, Alexander Thompson of Homosassa, FL and Danielle St; and his great grandchildren, Trenton and Azalea.
