He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur E. Jernberg and Emma Konecheck Jernberg; and his grandson Tyler Smolen. He is survived by: his wife Lois Sandra Jernberg; his daughters, Lynn Stein (Bob) of Boise, ID, Jill Smolen (Jim) of Annapolis, MD and Beth Ruiz (Joe) of Foothill Ranch, CA; his grandchildren, Reed Stein, Paxton Stein, Alex Smolen, Andrew Smolen, Ryan Smolen, Kayla Ruiz, Nick Ruiz and Adam Johnson; his great grandchild Harper Stein; and his sister Lois Hickey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
