It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Charles Wheeler in Belleview, Florida, born in Ocala, Florida, who passed away on April 2, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Charles Jr. and Claudette Jones Charles; and her brother Jay Charles. She is survived by: her son Bernard Wheeler Jr.; her granddaughters, Ameliah and Avayah; her siblings, Sheila Poole Diaz (Carlos), Yama Stevenson, Slyvester Stevenson and Marvin Charles (Tonya); her aunts and uncles, Zelda Jones Greene of Jupiter, FL, Gwendolyn Cooper, Helen Elaine White, Sgt. Major Benjamin R. Jones, Pop, Winter Haven, Ronnie Jones (Pam), Alphonso Charles (Sheila) and Emanuel (Uncle Everywhere) of Ocala, FL; her nieces and nephews, Shatoya, Sasha, Emanuel, HeMan, Jauan (Jalisa), Romel, Tyrone, Bubb, Mariel, Marviyon, Greg, Jitty (Jasmine), Gyron, Jayden and Simere; and her friend Eddie Clarence. She is also survived by loving great nieces, great nephews, cousins.
