He is survived by: his wife Mary Hill Parsons; his children, Jeffrey Linn Parsons (Linda), Cheryl Parsons Chapman (Larry) and Brenda Parsons Rozine (Mark); his sisters, Bernadine Kerner and Shirley Saunders; his grandchildren, Melissa, Katherine, Lauren, Cameron, Christopher and Jeremy; his great grandchildren, Colby, Caden, Caroline, Ryne and Jaxon; his siblings, Eugene, Madeline, Russell, Lester and Craig; his daughter Carol Lou Parsons; and his granddaughter Rebecca Lynette Parsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the Maxwell G. and Mary L. Parsons Endowed Scholarship at Culver Stockton College.
